The Blog Is Now a Book: Cognitive Science for Educators

Major Announcement!

Although it probably isn't obvious to the readers of this blog, but a lot of exciting developments have been unfolding over the past few months. First and foremost, I am extremely excited to announce that John Catt Educational is publishing my book. It is entitled Cognitive Science for Educators: Practical suggestions for an evidence-based classroom, and it is currently available on the John Catt website as well as Amazon. 

Content & Features

The book contains nearly all of the blog posts that were first published here. As a bonus, the book takes the blog a step further by including an introductory chapter that explains why the book was written; each post is organized into a section within a chapter (instead of the stream-of-consciousness ordering found on the blog); there are Glossary items that define all of the vocabulary terms; there is an introduction to each chapter; and there are two new, never-before-seen sections on expertise.

In addition, I've also created this companion webpage to the book which features the table of contents, a high-resolution gallery of images found in the text, links to all of the interactive widgets, and additional resources related to the learning sciences.
